Self Catering in the ‘Heart’ of this Historic Burgh.
This is a very comfortable town house situated amongst charming 18th century houses on Kirkcudbright’s unspoilt Old High Street and is within a ‘stone’s throw’ of the galleries, museum, harbour, town centre and Broughton House, the National Trust property where the well known artist E. A Hornel lived and worked.
The accommodation comprises: a sitting room with dining area and French windows leading into the south facing patio garden, dining kitchen, utility room and cloakroom. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one with a king-size double bed and the other with twin beds. There is also a single bedroom and a bathroom with over-bath shower.
The house is centrally heated with a modern gas boiler and radiators in all rooms. The sitting room has additional heating in the form of an electric fire. Bed linen, towels and the cost of the central heating are all included in the rent. However, the cost of electricity used is extra and this is calculated on your departure from actual meter readings, so you only pay for what you use.
There is a television, DVD player, radio and tape recorder, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, washing machine, dish-washer, tumble-dryer. In fact all the equipment and utensils you would need for a comfortable family holiday. There is also an outside drying facility.
A welcome pack of tea, coffee,
milk and shortbread is provided so that you can have refreshment as soon as
you arrive.
The maximum number of guests the house can accommodate is limited to five. This limit must not be exceeded. 146, High Street is non-smoking but well behaved dog/s (not cats) will be welcomed, at the discretion of the owner. The owner takes every care that the property is well maintained, clean and pleasant for your arrival and it would be appreciated if it was left in a similar state of order and cleanliness when you leave. The client will be held responsible for any damage and breakages during their stay and this must be reported to the owner before departure.
